Let's go back to 2017. Kyle Shanahan is named head coach of the 49ers. Just a couple of years removed from his playing career, Ryans joins Shanahan's staff as a defensive quality control coach. He would rise the ranks in his five years in the bay, going from quality control to defensive coordinator before taking the head job in Houston.

With every misfire and misstep on offense, the pressure is undoubtedly now seriously mounting on Texans embattled first-year offensive coordinator, Nick Caley.
