SEATTLE — A powerful atmospheric river pummeled western Washington over the weekend, delivering three consecutive days of severe weather that left tens of thousands without power, claimed one life and dropped significant snow in the Cascades.

Robbie Ouzts returns to practice for Seattle Seahawks
Rookie fullback Robbie Ouzts was designated to return to practice with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday after a four-game absence due to an ankle injury.
A fall storm will bring widespread rain and gusty winds to western Washington starting early Friday. Wind gusts could reach 30–40 mph across the central and South Sound, and up to 50 mph in the North Sound. Up to two inches of rain are possible through the weekend, so clear storm drains and prepare for wet, windy conditions.
Voters who received ballots in the mail must sign their document and can return their ballot via mail or deposit it at an official drop box, which will remain open until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
