Microsoft Corp. has begun developing programs for dashboard-mounted computers that would allow drivers to check electronic mail, trade stocks and even surf the Internet using cellular telephone links.
If you want to get rid of the Dashboard on your Mac running macOS Mojave or earlier, you can do so in System Preferences.
