The Cowboys will once again try to climb above .500, but will have to overcome 3 decades of futility against their Week 8 opponent.

The Denver Broncos are dealing with a key injury in their secondary in the early stages of their Week 9 game against the Dallas Cowboys. Star cornerback Patrick Surtain suffered an apparent leg injury on Denver's first defensive drive of the game. The injury occurred as he was breaking up a pass intended for George Pickens in the end zone.

Dallas' back-up quarterback Joe Milton got to play in some mop up after Dallas was torched by Denver. He went 3-of-4 passing for 58 yards. His quarterback rating was 99.8 which is tremendous for a back-up quarterback. Denver won 44-24 and it wasn't that close.

The return of Kyler Murray is expected this week as the Arizona Cardinals prepare to take on the Dallas Cowboys, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.
